Land Titles contain legal title information concerning property ownership, transfer details and any encumbrances such as mortgages or easements.
Each time a new transaction occurs, property records are updated as soon as the instrument is registered. Please note that the information contained within a land title search does differ based on the province or territory. For instance, in addition to receiving the parcel registry, a site map may be available indicating parcel identification numbers, or additional textual abstracts may be included. As such the cost of a title search generally ranges between $20 - $100Cdn. Where a title search is requested for sites outside of Ontario, clients will be contacted to confirm cost estimates and search requirements. Where available, registered property plans can also be ordered.
