Add your company to
ERIS’ Suggested Contact List
ERIS provides environmental reports to a wide range of clients from
environmental consultants and engineers to lawyers, banks, mortgage
companies, appraisers, insurance companies and real estate agents across
Canada and the United States. Often, we are asked to suggest businesses that
might assist a client in furthering his/her research or investigation of a
property. If your company would like to be listed on the Suggested Contact’s
page of the ERIS website, and be included in ERIS’ bi-annual e-blast to
current and prospective customers, then we’ll add your logo on our site and
link it to your website for a small annual fee. Call
Isabel Pereira or
Mark Mattei for more details at:
1-866-517-5204.
ERIS at CAAMP 2009
Trade Show
On November 22 to 24, ERIS attended the Canadian Association of Accredited
Mortgage Professionals or CAAMP 2009 Trade Show. The three-day event took
place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and was a great opportunity for
ERIS to showcase the ERIS Risk Check Report to thousands of new prospects.
The Risk Check Report is designed to assist Lenders and Real Estate Agents
in making a preliminary judgment and due diligence on environmental risks
pertaining to a specific Canadian property and any adjacent properties. The
report alerts clients as to whether their property is considered a low risk
or an elevated risk in terms of environmental concerns.
Thank-you to all those
who stopped by our booth at CAAMP. Congratulations to Tony Leu ng
from Mortgage Alliance, the lucky winner of our prize draw for a Nintendo
Wii system. A great prize to win and just in time for the holidays!
There will be another
chance to win this great prize at
GLOBE 2010, Vancouver, B.C.,
March
24 to 26, 2010 . Be sure to drop by
Booth 1425
and enter for your chance to win!

Ontario Borehole data
added to ERIS reports |
|
A
borehole is the generalized term for any narrow shaft drilled in the ground,
either vertically or horizontally. This database includes geotechnical
investigations or environmental site assessments, mineral exploration, or
holes that were drilled as a pilot hole for installing piers or underground
utilities.
This information comes from many sources such as the Ministry of
Transportation (MTO), and from engineering reports and projects from the
1950 to 1990s in Southern Ontario. Boreholes from the Ontario Geological
Survey (OGS), including the Urban Geology Analysis Information System (UGAIS)
and the York Peel Durham Toronto (YPDT) database of the Conservation
Authority Moraine Coalition, also make up this database. ERIS reports will
provide information on the location of the borehole, its stratigraphy,
depth, elevation and year drilled, to name a few.
For all Water Well Information System data or Oil and Gas Well data for
Ontario, please refer to the
WWIS and
OGW databases. |
|
What's New With the Databases? |
|
As mentioned, ERIS has introduced a new database
in Ontario, Boreholes.
In British Columbia, the Potentially Contaminated Site database and Site
Registry have been updated to November 2009 and the Conviction database to
June 2009.
In the Yukon, ERIS’ contaminated site listing is now up to date to June
2009.
For more details, please see our website:
www.eris.ca. It’s always a good idea
to refer to the database listings on ERIS’ website for the most current
updates. |
