ERIS is proud to have provided its customers with accurate and reliable products for over a decade. Delivering quality products in a timely affordable manner is a very important part of the ERIS philosophy. Products and processes are all subject to an ongoing review to ensure that an unsurpassed level of quality is maintained throughout the business.

After an in-depth internal review, the Self Serve Instant Report — which allowed ERIS customers to search specific environmental databases for a site — was found to be unreliable due to variances in address reporting within government data. As a result, the Self Serve Instant Report is being replaced with a much more accurate report, the ERIS Site Report.

The ERIS Site Report provides clients with a quick, low cost search for information for one site only. The ERIS Site Report, although not instant, is delivered within the next business day and is only $130. Each site report is manually verified and run through the complete set of databases by a Production Analyst who will ensure that all applicable records are accurately included in the report.

Report Gets a New Name

The ERIS Loan Risk Assessment is the new report name for the previously named Risk Check Report. This report is your desktop environmental due diligence package for commercial property loans. It includes a Standard ERIS Report, Topographic Map, Fire Insurance Plans, City Directory Search and risk assessment summary by a qualified environmental professional. The ERIS Loan Risk Assessment is a complete report package that lenders require to indicate whether a property is considered low risk or elevated risk in terms of environmental hazards.

What’s New With Databases

Both the Generators and Receivers of Waste databases have been updated in Ontario, Alberta and Manitoba. In Ontario, the databases are current up to the end of June 2009. In Alberta and Manitoba, the databases are current to the end of January 2010.

The Fuel Storage Tank database (FST) has been updated in Alberta and Ontario to the end of January 2010. The Alberta tanks information is sourced from the PTMAA, and the Ontario tanks information is sourced from the TSSA.

Contaminated Sites in British Columbia and Manitoba have also been updated. The British Columbia database (PCS), which includes Site Registry information and Detail Reports, is current and updated regularly. The Manitoba Contaminated Sites database has been updated to the end of November 2009.

Ontario Convictions, Environmental Registry (EBR) and Record of Site Condition (RSC) databases are all current to February 2010.

For more details, please see our website: www.eris.ca. It’s always a good idea to refer to the database listings on the ERIS website for the most current updates.
